Ticket sales start today!

January 2023 marks the start of the 28th IHF Men’s World Handball Championship in Sweden and Poland. The ticket sales in Sweden starts today, the 1st of December. The sales begin at 11am, for the arenas of the five Swedish hosting cities: Gothenburg, Jönköping, Kristianstad, Malmö and Stockholm.

The 28th World Handball Championship begins on the 11th of January 2023 and Poland and Sweden are co-hosts. A total of 32 teams will be participating in the competition. The reigning champions Denmark as well as the hosting countries Poland and Sweden are already qualified to participate.

The preliminary round will be played in Gothenburg, Jönköping, Kristianstad, Malmö and Stockholm*. The Swedish national team will play in Gothenburg during both the preliminary round and the main round.

– We are welcoming all handball supporters from every corner of the globe to experience full stands with cheering fans – something we have been longing to do for a long time. Today, we are finally opening the ticket sales for the Men´s World Handball Championship”, says Krister Bergström, CEO of the World Championship in Sweden.

The final will be played over a weekend in Stockholm and Tele2 Arena, a location which delivered an amazing experience during the European Championship finale in 2020. Two quarter finals, one semi final, placement games 5-8, the bronze match and the final – a total of nine great games – will all be played in Stockholm. The finale will take place on the 29th of January 2023.
