Ticket sales in Poland started

The 28th IHF Men´s World Championship will start on January 11, 2023. The ticket sale for matches in Poland started on March 18, 2022.

The matches of Poland/Sweden 2023 will be played in nine (9) cities. The final draw will take place on July 2 in Katowice. Spodek Katowice will be also the host of the opening match and opening ceremony. The final week will take place in Stockholm and in Tele2 Arena.

The ticket sale for matches in Sweden has already started. Tickets for matches in Poland will be available from March 18, 2022.

Each Host Country can assign one qualified team to each Host City. Therefore Spain will play in group A (Krakow), Norway in group F (Krakow), and Denmark in group H (Malmö). Germany – if qualified – will play in group E (Katowice), Iceland – if qualified – will play in group D (Kristianstad) and Croatia – if qualified – will play in group G (Jönköping).

“It will be the biggest event in the history of handball in Poland. We especially will warmly welcome in Poland during the Preliminary Round fans from Spain, Norway and Germany, if they qualify. They know already from the past championship events all cities in Poland and I’m convinced that they will meet in Katowice/Silesia and Kraków/Malopolska the great Polish hospitality, which is famous all around the world,” Tournament Director Handball WCh 2023 Poland Grzegorz Gutkowski said.

Hosts of the 28th IHF Men´s World Championship are planned to be Katowice, Krakow, Plock, Gdansk (Host Cities in Poland), Malopolska, Silesia (Host Regions in Poland), Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, Jönköping and Kristianstad (Host Cities in Sweden).
